Most of the phone's popularity stems from its ability to send and receive email from anywhere wireless service is available - even when roaming on another carrier's network. Another notable selling point is the phone's Querty keyboard, which allows the phone's operator to use their thumbs to type emails and text messages. The phone's system navigation, known as the "thumbwheel", also requires the thumbs' use, and is located on the side of the handset for easy access by the user. In the past, these devices had limitations and were capable of only email and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). Today's models provide many more functions, including Bluetooth, GPS and Walkie Talkie capabilities. Because BlackBerry phones are also considered Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), these handsets also perform all the standard functions available on any PDA device. The handsets are manufactured by Research in Motion, and use RIM's operating system. Tip: Want an easier way to find your Blackberry phone online? Shop online store that provide a catagory for Blackberry phones, such as AmericanCell.com or TMIWireless.com
