Six Regions Mentioned
in the JD Power Study
The following are the six regions polled in the U.S. for the JD Power Study, along with information concerning which wireless company ranked highest in each region:
Northeast Region: T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless rank highest in a tie. T-Mobile outperforms Verizon in the areas of customer service, calling plan options, cost of service and billing. Verizon's main strength lies in its call quality. Mid-Atlantic Region: Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile again tie for top ranking. But this time, Verizon outperforms T-Mobile in call quality. T-Mobile's main strength is again, the companies low cost of service. Southeast Region: T-Mobile ranks number one overall. The company performs very well in customer service, service plan options, billing, and the general cost of service. North Central Region: Interestingly, there is a three way tie between T-Mobile, Verizon and U.S. Cellular for this region. T-Mobile leads the pack in cost of service, while both Verizon and U.S. Cellular receive the highest ratings for customer service. Southwest Region: T-Mobile ranks highest, with excellent ratings in call quality, calling plan options, billing, and cost of service. West Region: Verizon and T-Mobile tie once again for top ranking. Verizon receives high rankings in call quality, while T-Mobile receives the highest ratings in cost of service.
